PESKIMO - ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

Cool little project launching tonight involving Peskimo and some other great image-makers at Bristol's Arnolfini Gallery for the Young Bristol charity... 

"All I Want For Christmas Cards 2009 is a new festive project in support of the Bristol based charity ‘Young Bristol’. 20 local artist’s and illustrator’s specific works for the project are being used to create a limited edition run of Christmas cards that will be sold as packs containing each of the 20 cards.

A competition, with the brief to create a piece of work based on the phrase ‘All I want for Christmas’ took place and after receiving an overwhelming response, the final 20 artworks were chosen, each on their individual merits and included in the final 20 cards.

Initially created with the idea of promoting the charity Young Bristol, All I Want For Christmas Cards has also brought together artists and illustrators local to Bristol for this exciting illustrative project.

At a time of year when many people want, the All I Want for Christmas Cards project 2009 offers an opportunity to support those who need."

PESKIMO - TIME OUT

Another reason to bin that crusty old tube map - Peskimo's pull-out guide to the capital free with Time Out London! A fair amount of Oyster usage was required here with each landmark researched for geographic and aesthetic accuracy. Unfortunately Synergy HQ was edited out of the final version!

NEW ARTIST CARDS!

Phew! More Synergy HQ re-arranging today with the arrival of boxes and boxes of new artist cards for David Tazzyman, Henry Obasi, Jimmy Zombie and Peskimo. Correct Feng Shui will be restored when they hit mail boxes later this week!  

PESKIMO - COMPUTER ARTS

Peskimo have joined 23 other 'incredible artists from across the globe' to create this months collectable cover for Computer Arts Projects (The Character Design Issue). Inside there's also a glimpse into their working processes along with a behind the scenes feature on DreamWorks' latest hit movie - 'Monsters vs Aliens'.

Not previously known for map illustrations, Peskimo are working their magic on a regular city guide feature for BMI Baby's inflight magazine. Fine dining in Lisbon and waterside eateries in Amsterdam have been covered so far with a UK destination in the pipeline.

PESKIMO - HERE GALLERY EXHIBITION

Peskimo have contributed artwork to a portfolio of prints commissioned to mark the fifth anniversary of Bristol's HERE Gallery. The portfolio consists of fifteen original pieces by contemporary artists, all printed using the Japanese Print Gocco device (a toy screen-printing kit) and accompanies the exhibition Even Dwarves Started Small (3rd Oct - 1st Nov).
